My wife has an uncle who's not far from St. Pete.
The outside looks pretty good!
Just wondering how butchered this cabinet is on the inside????

Appears the horn is gone. On the good side, maybe the doors can be exchanged with a standard cabinet.

Switching out the doors is a very tempting idea -- but what to do about the frieze band just below the lid? I can't think how to pull a switcheroo in that section without some serious dismantling/replacing. Better, I guess, to take the horn and works from another machine and switch them into the leather-front cabinet. Certainly worth the effort, especially if the leather can be safely cleaned -- it looks a little too dark, to me anyway. Are the leather panels finished with a varnish, as an oil painting would be? That could account for it. Then again, it might look just fine in person. At least the colors don't seem to have fallen victim to a poor "restoration", as some have.

Oh- I admit that switching the doors would not be the best option, but doable if the interior is seriously butchered.
