Source for Brown Tape to repair Victrola record albums?
I have found a number of Victor albums that fit into Victrola cabinets. Many have been torn at the top and bottom from being pulled. I was thinking some kind of plastic tape, colored brown, might be less unsightly. Anyone have any ideas or resources for this sort of thing? Or repair ideas? Thanks.

You might find colored tape at an auto supply store. I picked up a roll of brown tape about 1-¼" wide some years ago in the auto section of a local discount store.

google "book binding tape". You will find many sources and it;s the stuff you are looking for but it might be a challenge to find the right color. If you do find the right color, be sure and post your discovery for the rest of us. Good luck

cloth "gaffer's tape" comes in a variety of colors, including brown, and usually a roll that's 2" wide by 20 yds long.
ShurTape is one brand...
I will never again use "duct tape" for anything since I have known about gaffer's tape.

The color of those Victor books appears to be a reddish brown color. or even a kind of maroon.

I was just looking for the same thing and found this on Amazon. It hasn't arrived yet, but looks it will do the job.

I'd like to find a source for that thin leather grained paper, or for paper thin leather. I've got several Credenza albums in shoddy shape and would like to make them useable and uniform.

I'll keep those in mind, but will keep checking art stores around here - I'd like to see the stuff first before buying a quantity
