.. A Columbia 2-Minute BQ with a BKT bracket. The BKT horn bracket holds the horn closer to the body, so the tonearm had to be shortened, which (due to being tapered) made the end too big for the BQ elbow, so a plug had to be inserted . Then the neck of the reproducer needed an extension. Seems like a lot of trouble, just to use-up some brackets!

In a TMW ad, Columbia claimed that there was a heavy demand for the BQ - maybe they ran out of BQ brackets. After all, the BQ was just the BKT with a different carriage & more direct tone-arm connection.
