After years of planning, a museum dedicated to recorded sound will open in Paris this coming Friday. Sponsored in large part by the City of Paris, much of the collection on exhibit belongs to well-known dealer Jalal Aro, who has a phonograph store very close to the museum.

Hours will be 10AM to 7PM, admission 5€. A guided tour with demonstrations will be 10€. The address is 53 Boulevard de Rochechouart 75009 Paris, closest Metro stop: Anvers.

I hope to check it out this coming October.

Looks great. A very nice man too. Look at the K&R tucked in between a Hardy tinfoil and a Bell Tainter.

Thanks for the info Rene. Another reason to try and get back to visit Paris again. 8-)

I was there three weeks ago, but the museum wasn't open... however, the shop portion was amazing.
