I noticed the turntable on the early VV-VI has a wobble "up and down". I am wondering of this is normal on these early Victrolas?
What would be the cause if it is not normal?

Certainly not "normal". At least when new. However, after 80+ years.....yes.
Stamped tables seem to be more prone to this. These stamped tables are easy to bend out of true. Also, stamped tables are made in two parts. The center hub (underneath) can become loose from the platter. A bent spindle can be another "extreme" cause. It takes a lot to bend one of these.
cast tables on earlier models seem to hold up better with time and abuse. I bet many machines were stored away with tons of stuff on top of them as they went out of favor.
Just consider this "flaw" to be part of the charm of these machine's and enjoy them....

.
If you buy a copy of Eric Reiss' book......there is a section in there that suggests ways to minimize this issue. You may want to get one if you don't already.

That is a common enough model that there ought to be lots of replacement parts "out there".
