Heineman Reproducer Gaskets

I decided to replace the white rubber tubing in my Heineman reproducer.
The white tubing creates too much stress on these pot metal reproducers.
So, I ordered some Victrola No. 4 gasket rings from Walt Sommers. I made a cut in each one, fit the gasket inside, and the line up the ends and snip the excess off where it meets, believe it or not a nice tight fit pair of gaskets.
Then I reassembled the reproducer and it sounds great, without all that tight pressure on that fragile pot metal. I played a John Phillip Sousa, and it sounds as if I am picking up other instruments in the music.
