Hey guys did Jimmie Rogers ever record on Edison records?

No, but a few of his compositions like "Blue Yodel" were sung on Edison by others.

That's very interesting. Would waiting on a train by the Jimson bros have been one also. I notice the label notes Jimmie Rogers. Do u happen to know who recorded blue yodel?

Frankie Marvin recorded Blue Yodel on DD 52356 and BA 5571.

Jimmie Rodgers or the Carter Family or Roger Wolfe Kahn did not record on Edison, but don't let that disappoint you.
Edison did record other great stars..... Vernon Dalhart, Vaughn Deleath, Sophie Tucker, Billy Murray, Ada Jones and many others.

Surprisingly (or maybe not) Edison seems to have completely missed the "hillbilly" country rage. Although by the mid-late 20's when it erupted the Edison record and phonograph division was probably too far gone to invest in any new artists. As John points out Edison managed to at least get Fiddlin' Powers and Family. These records are not to be missed.
