Nice looking, but 12K? Here is the posting:

We are in the process of down sizing selling our home. We are offering the last of our extremely nice Antique Radio collection. This on is an extremely rare 1928 Sonora Radio/Phonograph. Finding one of these is a rarity, and finding one in this condition is near impossible. We bought it from an estate in Sonora, California (of all places) and had it restored by the best antique radio restorer on the West Coast. You will also notice that it has the complete 1928 leather bound record volumes present too. Please contact us to arrange to see it. We have listed three more antique radios on craigslist too. 1931 Atwater Kent, 1932 Philco 112 and a remarkable and rare Zenith U-159 Console.

At that price, I don't think they will be downsizing anytime soon. First of all, I don't think there is a serious collector base for this model no matter how rare it is. Rarity doesn't always mean more value.

There's one of these on San Francisco Craigslist, along with a second (empty) cabinet. For months. For a tenth of this asking price.

Note that it "is designed for use in connection with long playing recorded music - a forthcoming Sonora feature". I think we're still waiting for that feature to come forth!
