I have a few Victor 8" records that some maniac drilled larger holes in at some point. Unfortunately these holes are not clean, but jagged and not even round. Someone suggested to fix them with black epoxy, but I have not been able to find anything that seemed suitable to me. I think a thick liquid or paste would work best. Has anyone done this before and what did you use?

what about drilling a slightly larger hole and making an adapter that fits on the spindle to accommodate a slightly larger hole? it will ruin the record, but make it playable.

Use a JB Weld putty stick. Slice off a piece the size you want and knead it in your hand until warm and pliable. One soft, put it in the center of the record and flatten it - use two pieces of cardboard or something flat on each side, but don't leave them in place once you have the correct thickness. Once formed, leave it overnight and then drill the center. If it is not the right color, use a Sharpie marker to make it match. The putty will be stronger than the record originally was.
