FOR SALE: HMV 5b Reproducer-Rebuilt.-SOLD

I have a HMV 5b with new rear flange and gaskets. It is airtight and plays well. The throat has been repaired but looks great. Price is $100 + shipping. Looks and plays great on my HMV 102. Please PM me with questions or interest.

If fits my HMV 102 (portable) and will fit other machines. The rear flange has the same dimensions as an orthophonic rear flange. I tested it on my HMV 102 and my VV 8-12. Sound was quite nice. Unlike the orthophonics, this one is much easier to work on. No pot metal issues with this, and no ball bearings. The needle bar rides on round posts fitting inside cylindrical receiving arms on the needle bar-easy to adjust and lubricate if needed. From what I have read, this was HMV's answer to the orthophonic reproducer and is easier to work on.
