Found this ad on e-Bay for five brass blank Victor ID Data Plates and one brass Victrola insignia. I have my opinion regarding their authenticity but, what do you think?

The same seller has a closed auction for over $100 with the same or similar item.

I saw these and had to do a double take. These are real junk. They lack the detail on Nipper and other parts to the plate. Look at a real plate and compare them.

Don't forget the misspelling... "His Master Voice". The dog and talking machine have none of the detail of the original. Unfortunately, someone has placed a $50.00 bid on this stuff.

They don't even have nail holes in the corners -- instead there are raised brass dots!

Why doesn't Ebay take these fakes off when contacted ? Because they make money from Fakes and fakers !
