I think there are more remarkable highlights in that description

"You are bidding on a very rare antique Columbia Graphophone phonograph Model BKT “New Leader” rear mount horn. These cylinder record players were manufactured between 1908 and 1910. The unit was disassembled, cleaned and lubricated correctly with sewing machine oil (works great); original black horn was sandblasted and powder coated dark blue to enhance its beauty (original tarnished rusted look was corrected without attempting to duplicate unnaturally the original finish); case was cleaned and touched-up; bed plate was sand blasted and powder coated black and gold trimming reapplied; nickel plating was damaged (common that nickel plating will flack and peal with age, especially when applied on aluminum castings) and painted satin nickel metallic with exception of slide area; new leather belt; 5 cylinder recordings, 4 with cylinder casings...."

I think it's awesome that unnatural duplication of the original finish is avoided here. Powder coating and painting in satin nickel metallic gives every antique that special touch. The American Restoration guys would be proud.

The BS is getting deep. I'd better roll up my pants or put on hip waders.  I love that authentic paint on on the horn.  The new decal on the horn gives it a touch of class.

Yah. but he left the dent in the horn, and did not polish the nickel, looks like he oversprayed with the deft and did't bother to knock it down and clean it up. If your gonna restore....restore
