Which horn and crane would be correct for an early Concert? I would like to get the correct time period it. Also, it has a model D reproducer. Would this be right?

I would think that it would be some type of Cygnet horn...judging by the fully horizontal reproducer carriage mounting.

Your Concert may have originally been equipped with the Automatic reproducer but the D is a period correct upgrade. The buyer of a Concert was buying what was then the pinnacle of phonographs. That type of owner would likely be anxious to keep his machine as a top performer. The D reproducer was a logical purchase and upgrade. Jerry Blais

Is it safe to use on the records more so than the automatic?

This horn question is a good one..

I searched YOUTUBE!, and I see that most are using just a 14" witches hat with a metal elbow, though I doubt that this is the correct horn setup either for the Concert.

But have no fear, I checked Frow's very last book, and it states that your Model Edison Concert came with a 26" All Brass Horn, and A matching floor horn stand. It does not say whether the horn was attached by rubber tube or metal elbow though.

I also agree, The machine would have some with the Automatic Reproducer, not the one that is currently there, but may have been upgraded later by the owner.

Usually a 36" to 60" brass horn with floor stand is commonly found on this machine. No room you say - then a 14" brass with a 45 degree end or a 14" straight with a 45 degree adapter works fine.

It's easier to find an automatic reproducer than a model D, so you should consider yourself lucky it was upgraded along the way.

I have seen Concerts that were "upgraded" to use a cygnet horn, but it's doubtful (never say never) it was a factory option, dealer maybe, owner probably.
