Does anyone have a Victor III Type B that has really large decorative corners about 1 inch wide (most I have seen have decorative columns which are much more narrow). The cabinet on this is 14 ⅛ square. The top appears to have never had a barrel brake only the Friction type which leads me to believe it is the type B (despite having an aluminum serial number tag of in the 51000 series which would point to a type or E, but when that was removed it was covering up the mounting holes of the smaller older style serial number tag!).

If any one has a simliar machine would you mind posting a picture of the motor in your motor which I presume is a motor with the quad cut gears?

Curious about the type of motor that goes in this particular cabinet, and also very curious when the larger columns began to be used.

I believe the larger corner columns and smooth base molding was started around 1909 when Victor changed the case styles for the Victor I, II, and III. I got this information from the Victor Data book.

Does the crank hole line up with the threaded part on the motor. If so, I think you've got the correct motor. Jerry
