Could be a nice piece cleaned up! I think he forgot to do his research!
Needs the usual restoration and cleaning.
But as the ad says its in "great working condition"!
ONLY $450!
It's also on ebay for $549!

Would have been nice if he had correctly labeled it a "VV-IX" instead of an "XX-IV"...

Interesting combo...
The serial # is 426983, which I would think places it in mid-run of the IX, yet this one has a fat-arm, #2 soundbox and a "speedometer" -type speed control... no suffixes after the model designation.
I wonder if the machine received a dealer -upgrade at some point ?
I also wonder if the IX is a "flat-bottom" or if it has "Feet" ?
The coordinating cabinet is nice...
The ebay seller's handle is interesting.... I wonder if they'll throw-in a copy of "Stand-up for Jesus" ?

With the base, that is certainly not a bad price if it is indeed working.

About in the middle of 1919, only a few months older than the IX I have been working on this evening. Also with fat tone arm, and the same speed control. This machine however came to me with the remains of an exhibition soundbox.
