I've managed to lose the original. I seem to remember the wire was .019 inch. Have you noticed that every hardware store has the same inventory? Thanks, Terry

Hi Terry, I measured the spring on mine and the wire is .025; the total lenght of the coil is 1 ⅛ and the diameter is ⅜.
