FOR SALE Edison A-250 in OAK (in NJ) $600

I bought this machine from a forum member a couple years ago but now have to let it and a few others go. I'll snap and post some photos this weekend, but for now, it's an early Edison A-250 in the uncommon oak finish, which is original and very clean. There is some lightly lifting veneer at a couple of corners that I haven't got around to fixing yet. Otherwise, the only issues to speak of are some chipping to one of the ornamental claw feet, a couple small pieces of missing veneer on the grill (which is otherwise complete and undamaged), and some flaking to the bedplate paint. This is a very nice example of a pretty uncommon version of this machine. Everything - motor and reproducer - runs, plays and sounds extremely good. I'm asking $600, which is what I've got into it. If you're interested, send me a message or email, brianu73 at hotmail. I can bring this to the Wayne NJ phonograph show this October, or you can pick it up from me whenever in southern NJ, I'm just 10 minutes outside of Philadelphia, PA.

Thanks,

Brian

Thanks Garret.

And sorry about the photos above. I'm reattaching them, corrected and upright, here.

if anyone has any input on selling this machine, I'd be most appreciative. I was thrilled to buy it myself at this same price a year or so ago. I just have to get rid of a few of the larger things now, including this, for space reasons.

Brian,

I would be thrilled to take it off your hands. Unfortunately, I have too many other priorities that need to be addressed over the next few months. I don't know why someone hasn't gone after it yet. Is the price too high? I'm not trying to be snide, I'm just wondering what the more knowledgeable experts might be thinking.

Good luck,
Fran

It's not too high in my opinion. Transportation can be an issue with selling these larger ones though.

I figured that size and location could factor in, but was hoping the price and rarity would offset that, as well as transportation to the wayne NJ show in october. thanks for the input.

Good point. You are offering delivery to Wayne. That should significantly reduce the transport issue for many. These machines are by no means common, especially in oak.
