Thanks for posting pictures. How were the prices? Did you come home with anything?

I got my usual assortment of parts from Ron Sitko, plus a better-than-average Orthophonic 1-90 table top.

However, I thought the show was under-attended, both by customers and dealers alike. I will not be hugely surprised if this show vanishes. Wayne is larger and better attended.

Attendance was low, prices were good. I only came home with a suitcase of 24 really nice clean early black wax cylinders. The ones with no titles only the etched numbers. I really like these early black wax cylinders and already have about 150 of them but what's a few more.

Nice machines. Rich, the no title Edison Gold Moulded are very interesting records, and to me, hard to find, some are very nice and loud.

How much was the Opera and the early Amberola 30?

I love the Columbia Q's with their hard to find Sears Roebuck Metal Bases. How much did they go for?

If I remember correctly Bill was asking $3500 for the Opera and around $350 for the Amberola. The Columbia Q with the original Sears base had a asking price of $3000, he found a nicer one and that was why he was selling this one. I don't remember the price on the one with the Paul Baker reproducer base, I was to interested in the original.

Thanks for the photos. The Opera, at $3500, seems like a very reasonable price. Did it have drawbacks? Thanks, Jerry Blais

It was a bit more worn than it looks in the photos but was a good candidate for minor restoration work. Bill had a few nice machines at very reasonable prices.
