FOR SALE: Early Edison Amberola 30 - $475

I have for sale a very nice example of the early model of the Edison Amberola 30. Collectors refer to
these as the "decorated" model as they are a little fancier with the pinstriped bedplate and governor cover. The ID plate is behind the grill. I have had several Amberola 30s over the years and this is probably the best one. It has a super diamond stylus, plays loud and clear, great original finish, no veneer problems. The motor runs very strong and quiet. These early versions of this model don't show up very often. It will be hard to find a nicer one than this one. More pictures available upon request. The only thing it needs is a good cleaning and polish. The price is $475.00 OBO.

In response to some inquiries, the ID plate is behind the front grill on the crank side and the serial number is 4287.

I'd say that it's totally worth it. I only see some minor discoloration of the Nickel on the handle and reproducer. It would be a nice machine for anyone.

Does the handle make a loud "ratcheting sound" when you turn the handle? or is it quiet when you turn the handle?

:o)

I haven't tried to polish the nickel yet. The ratchet for the crank works great. I haven't really noticed any abnormal noise while cranking it up.

New asking price is $450

This Amberola is available again. The first person to contact me decided to pass on it and the second person hasn't returned my emails. What I have done to cover shipping costs with all of my other sales is to estimate high and refund the difference once the exact amount is known. I have had no complaints doing it this way. I don't charge for packing material. If you are interested in this early Edison, just reply with "SOLD"
