Cute and complete appearing little portable. How high will the bidding go?

it's already at almost 350? that seems pretty crazy for one of these, even with the original paper horn. whenever I see that many bids, especially with this much time left in the auction, I usually just think it's shill bidding. otherwise, these aren't at all that uncommon, and I've seen several of them in various condition sell over the past few years for anywhere from just under 100 to maybe 200 or little more if really perfect.

brianu,

Me too... if not shill bidding, it's definitely idiotic bidding.

that's because they're not. you can usually find more than one example at any phonograph show and at any given time there seems to be at least one or two on ebay.

the only thing that stands out about this one is the orginal paper cone horn, but even those aren't all that uncommon.

I have 2 in the back hall, one with a homemade cone and t'other with none. I'd like to see someone make nice reproductions of the cones - especially oak-grained 'wood', as someone posted here recently.
