I've got a nice Pathé upright phonograph that I'm hoping to sell to clear some more space. It's a standard, but nice mahogany floor model with a clean, original finish. The motor runs perfectly and the reproducer has been rebuilt - it's also the sort that can pivot to play either the standard lateral needle cut records or the vertical cut discs with a saphire (for Pathé) or diamond-tipped needle (for edison). The only flaw is that the grill in front of the internal horn is missing... it came with a home-made one that fits, but stylistically isn't very similar to the original. I'd need $200 for this. It can be picked up from my place in southern NJ about 10 minutes from Philadelphia, or I can bring it to the Wayne NJ phonograph show next month.

here are some photos... obviously the grill works but is not correct, some sort of homemade substitute... but aside from that, this is an excellent, clean example... and this price should leave plenty of room to buy a replacement or correct reproduction grill.

and I apologize, I don't know why these images are loading sideways... I'm having issues with this sort of thing when switching back and forth between my mac and pc.

and for an extra $25 I'll include a new old stock saphire needle. I think these usually sell for at least 60 or more.

Is that grille metal? It actually matches my old heat register in my basement. I think it looks pretty cool

I thought the same thing about the look of that grill. no though, it's actually wood.

this is still available. again, only 225 with a sapphire needle, and I'll bring it to the wayne show this sunday.
