Southern Ontario, two for one and then some.

I was truly tempted by this until I remembered just how ugly the Victrola 8-7 really is. It's a desireable machine (and for a great price) but I just don't see me wheeling it into my living room. The back bracket appears busted but that's not a big deal to those who appreciate this find. And it comes with a pretty little mini orthophonic to keep it company. $500 for both... not bad at all.

WOW! Both machines are nice, but the 8-7 alone is a steal, I've always wanted one. I guess my 8-8 will have to do for now.

I'd be interested in these, but I'm near Boston, an 8 hour drive each way on a really good day. If there's anyone in say the Utica/Syracuse area who'd be wiling to pick these up for me (for a fee of course), please PM me.
Thanks!
Kevin

The ad states "These two record players are assumed in wiring condition..."
That's a new one. I hope a collector gets these before refurbishers get some ideas.

Both are already sold. Who picked them up?

I picked them both up, but didn't want the Alvara. The owner forced me to take it, so I may
use it to put my music box on top. I was lucky to fit them both in the car.
I was surprised they were still available as I wasn't able to make it into the city for several days.

Congratulations. I had a feeling it would be you. I'm so glad it went to a collector and CAPS member.
