Hello, can someone please point me to details of the style of Zonophone coin op mechanism that was mounted on the rear of the machine, and acted on the winding mechanism, and was kind of an S shape. I only find Rene's machine with side mounted rectangular coin op system.
Thanks

I have two .pdf files of European catalogs with Zonophones in my office computer. All they will have is pictures. PM me, so I remember, and I can send you the files. There is a picture of a penny machine which involves the crank in the back of the machine. My guess is that dropping the coin somehow allows the crank to be turned. If pictures are not helpful, no worries!
regards,
Jeff

I have a photo of a Zonophone with coin mechanism around the crank but I have no clue what the internal design is.
The design with side-mounted coin slide is very simple, basically just a timing wheel that can be set to whatever length of time is needed for a specific record. After it completes a rotation it engages the governor to stop it.
