Here is a 2-door Victrola Credenza
(not mine) that looks great! For anyone living near New Milford, CT, and with a starting bid of
$895.00, this could be quite a find. Check it out if interested.

A remarkable thing, a thing of real beauty. Has to be one of the best-preserved Credenzas out there, and with a very nice brass soundbox, too. It jumped from the original bid of $895 to $1225 in the last seconds. Pics for posterity:

I did not know that the correct albums came-with...
It is interesting that this machine bears a serial # in the 11,000 block, and still had the brass Ortho box...
I guess it found a good home !

Not the albums just the index. A very nice machine originally sold by White's Music Shoo in my hometown.
It is an unusual Credenza. I have one like it with an 11000 serial number. Notice the arches over the record album openings? These were not on the early two door models nor the four door models.

I will have to check my 2-door Credenza for those arches...

I think it's interesting how the narrow & wide sections of the doors appear to be crappily grafted together.

I noticed the odd, rough-looking seams on the insides of the doors, too. It's as if they had cut the parts for a four-door machine and then changed their minds, bringing the four-door model to market the next year instead. It seems very strange that the veneer on the inside of the doors doesn't just cover the seams, and that the veneer that is there isn't butted up more closely. But then, here are pics of another one, identified as serial number 5277, from an auction in 2011; the seams in the backs of the doors look similar. Does anyone familiar with the early two-door Credenzas know more about this?
The "extra" arches are an interesting detail, as well.

I too once had a 2-door Credenza where the interior grafts on the doors were surprisingly crude.
