WHAT IS WRONG HERE?

This Triumph is in a Model A case, but is it a model A? Its not like mine.

From the limited view of the picture it looks like a Triumph F repainted bedplate top works. If it happened to be a Model G, that would be a real find.

The data plate clearly shows this to be a Model F.

Being No.89036, it's one of the first Fs, and it's equipped with the 2-spring motor which is why the controls differ from earlier Triumphs. :)

With the latest close up of the ID plate it also looks like the original paint.

That was my same question.....

I would think that a Model "F" would have the later style wooden case.... No??

That's what I thought. A model F in a model A case? And it is a 2 spring motor.

The Model F mechanism with the 2 spring motor is perfectly legitimate. And the Model A cabinet seems fine too. They just don't belong together. :)
