I'm delighted to say I bought a copy of 55225 recently. It's in decent shape and I'm very glad to have it.

I did notice, however, that it has an eccentric runoff groove, which I thought was a bit unusual for a 1924 recording. Is this present on all pressings or do I simply have a later pressing?

Yes, on every copy I've seen the runoff is eccentric. I've had this a couple of times over the years. It's a great record!

I bought a copy on eBay a few weeks ago and it also has the eccentric lead-out groove. It is wild to hear on my Victor III. I later also bought a copy of the 1927 version by Whiteman's band dubbed on a Victor 33 1/3rpm Program Transcription disk.

The acoustic version is my favorite, by far. That performance has a jazz band energy that is lacking on the later, slower versions.
