I am able to buy a nice Victrola VV-370 over here.
As there isn't much information about that phonograph on internet (just the Victor-Victrola site) I was wondering if you guys can help me...
The site is saying that there were made probably 907 (or at least 1350) and that it's a rare machine (***) with a high value (***).
I do understand that -comparing to other phonographs- about 1000 made machines isn't much.
The value must be (as Victor-Victrola says) between at least $500 till... Well ? Probably it will depend on many aspects like quality, location but also demand...
Can anyone tell more ? Would also be great to get some more information about (maybe) weak points, often missing parts, and so on...

It's a model that infrequently turns up because it was built in small numbers (907 spring driven and 160 electric - Victor Data Book). The parts should be very available because it used the same parts as other pre-Orthophonic machines. Modern collectors determine todays values and it seems like prices are low for the late VV-350,360 and 370 machines. In spite of that, they are unique models. When I think of those machines, I wonder how the original buyers felt. Their machines were obsolete almost immediately when the Orthophonic models were introduced. For me personally, I would enjoy seeing one of those models because it adds interest to a collection. Jerry Blais
