I have a nice Triumph A case. I need an oak opera or Concert case for a Triumph F. Will add boot.

Isn't the Concert case for the earlier Edison machines that used the 5" mandrels? Or, did Edison rename thier machines? Just curious.

When the Opera was introduced in November 1911, it was named...the "Opera."
The U-S Phonograph Company of Cleveland Ohio brought suit because it already had an "Opera" phonograph, so as of October 1912, the Edison "Opera" was renamed the "Concert." You'd think they could have used a NEW name!
In any event, at some point the Triumph started coming through the factory equipped with an Opera/Concert style cabinet.

Well, if I had just been sued for using a new name, and had to go to the trouble of re-branding a machine already in production as a result of the lawsuit, I would probably use a name I already had the rights to as well!
(Now George will tell me that Edison had an earlier machine called the "Opera," but they had led the trademark lapse…).

If you got Stantons auction catalog, there's actually one in there. He calls it a G, but its an F I think.

And here is the US Opera that caused Edison his copy rite problems.

If my memory is correct
, isn't the crank hole for an Opera (Concert) in a different spot than the late Triumph? Jerry

Good point, Jerry. Is the crank hole the same for the 2-spring and 3-spring Triumph motors?

If I can work it out, I will contact you. Yes, the lid will have a hole where the horn went on the Concert. I will just fill it in. Here is what it is supposed to look like.
