I have two different models of these Davis corner phonographs and have actually appreciated their uniquely designed cabinets.

Does this have an electric turntable motor?

I have three or four versions of the Davis including an example of their earliest model. The Davis' were involved with a couple of Chicago phonograph companies, and had previously sold the Royal machines that were made by Columbia.

I'm not aware of any Davis corner phonographs that were originally equipped with an electric motor.

George,

Am I glad to meet you! I have owned the tall early model Davis corner phonograph for which you included a picture and I have been searching all over the place (for years!) for someone else who owns this rarely seen Davis model. Until today, mine was the only example of this Davis model I had seen. Mine is missing the tonearm  and I was wondering if you would be so kind as to snap a picture of the inside of yours so that I may see exactly what the tonearm looks like. This particular model had a very interesting tonearm to horn assembly and comparing yours with mine would also be good to see.

Many thanks, in advance.

Doug
