Saw this Edison cylinder phonograph on eBay, its hard to tell but I think it's a Standard. What type of horn is that on it? I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it.

That's a Standard Model D or E. The horn is a Searchlight; several versions are shown in Antique Phonograph Gadgets, Gizmos, and Gimmicks and also in Antique Phonograph Accessories & Contraptions. The crane is a scarce "Chicago" (also shown in these two books) and is incorrectly installed. I'd be surprised if the machine would play that way! :)

Thank you George,
I was almost sure it was an Edison Standard D like you said. That horn is interesting. And it's funny how the eBay listing says "Edison Victrola" I've never seen an Edison Victrola, it must be very rare.
Best,
-Nick

You keep at it, Nick, and you'll see lots more "Edison Victrolas," as well as "Victorlas," "Victorias," "gramophones," "Columbas," and the like! :)

Hey - this site won't allow me to misspell gramophones!

Not only that, it looks like an accident waiting to happen. Either the reproducer or carriage could be broken. The horn should be coupled with a rubber hose.
