The Talking Machine Forum — For All Antique Phonographs & Recordings

I've recently come back to Phonographs and seem to remember a book that contained plans for the Edison Tinfoil phonograph , but can't for the life of me remember what it was called.
Would anyone know of such a book?

Yes, the book "Tinfoil Phonographs" by Rene Rondeau contains plans for Edison's original Kruesi prototype.

Charlie Smith has made some tinfoil machines that are based on the article in Scientific American from 1878. Of course there is also the 1892 book from W. Gillet "The Phonograph and how to construct it", which is available for free on Google books http://books.google.com/books/about/The ... k5AQAAIAAJ. There are also modern reprints of this book.
