Interesting, but I can't quite understand the video composition. Why pan to the cabinet, which apparently doesn't have anything to do with the topic and why doesn't the person filming the girl stand in front of her so you can actually see her in full view? I know I am complaining, but why have a video of half phono girl and half wood post/box or whatever?

The cabinet appears to be either a Victor 10-69 or RCA RAE-68, both used the same cabinet. Can't really tell which it is as the quality of a cell phone camera is pretty much worthless.

Yep, she's my girl. Pretty special and what I paid, some folks might call criminal. After meeting and getting to know the artist, then to learn (and see) the great efforts it takes to create something like this from thick stainless steel, I call it one of my best buys.

Yes, good eye on the machine types. They were added to the video for eye candy. It's a complete but empty VE 10-69 cabinet on top, awaiting correct donor guts. The other below, is a complete RAE-68 and its awaiting a RAE-79 friend someday. Also someday I'll get a new camera phone, but for now my focus is on older technology. If I did have a better camera, you might be able to see the knob on the center door on the RAE-68, where the VE 10-69 has none. The collection of four on stage left are Victor 8-12s.

Space is becoming the rare Item around here anymore, so nicely centered filming was not a priority. My girl trying to spread a little holiday cheer, was.

Ah, yes, we've seen her before.

A fascinating and ingenious sculpture, but it seems to be somewhat wanting acoustically... ;)

I had the honor to house Victrola Girl in my garage for week while VictrolaMonkey was in town buying some of my machines. I can tell you it is a stunning sculpture even though it didn't have the phonograph part when I had it. It looks like it belongs in the New York Museum of Modern Art. If I remember correctly, the lady's torso serves as a downward firing horn and the music comes out toward the floor. Yes, I'm sure he will make a better video of it someday when he can bring it out into the open and film it properly.

Yes, video recording and location are poor. You only hear the sound that goes up her arm and out her belly holes. Her torso, a big downward facing horn, is sitting on the carpet, only raise by sliders, is being totally muffled.

This VG #2 has a year older sister, VG #1. The following is the artist's video used to advertise her. Note this video has flaws too. Namely the sound is an overlay. So the video is for demonstrating her beauty. I will provide a video demonstrating that on a future date.

Sorry for complaining about your video... I was really interested in seeing the full sculpture, so I guess I was disappointed. As far as the Victrola Girl II is concerned, she is really fantastic. I did some more research and found Ricci Studios website, which has a completed full length pic of her and her sister, along with videos... Congratulations on your acquisition...

Thanks for taking the time to share it. She truly is marvelous and must be even more incredible in person.
