Hello,
Can anyone tell me how much commission Stanton's auction charges for selling your machines? I looked at their web site but could not find the answer.

Probably best to contact him directly and ask...

I do believe that his seller's comission is 10%, the same as his buyer's premium. Depending on the size and quality of the collection, he also provides other services, such as pickup and delivery to Michigan, and on-site auctions as well. His fees are among the lowest in the industry and his service and cooperation are simply The Best.

I have not had the privilege of attending a Stanton's auction.
I am assuming that all lots are no reserve?
Do sellers of large collections, or their heirs who consign usually make out okay?

In all the years I've attended Stanton auctions, I can only recall once or twice hearing of an item with a reserve. Perhaps he has a discrete way of handling such things otherwise?
I have never consigned to Stantons, but I have never heard of any unsatisfied sellers.

Just as a follow-up to my earlier post, my standing instructions to my wife are that, in case of my untimely demise, Stanton shall be contacted and given 100% authority to dispose of whatever she wishes to be gone (which probably is 99% of the stuff). That should indicate my level of trust and confidence in his professionality and integrity.

Just be wary if your wife has you go out and buy a new suit!
