I know there were nickel bases made for the Columbia Q. Does anyone know if these reproduction bases are still being made?

These bases are no longer being made. If I remember correctly Aaron Cramer made a run of them about 20 years ago. They show up once in a while on the secondary market, but not very often. The originals were used for the Columbia B as well but not as common.

The Nickel bases were the earlier bases and the Black ones came later if I am not correct..

I think they are referring to after market fancy nickel plated bases marketed by Sears...

Why doesn't someone make a new batch of these cast stands? They look great and I think there would be a good demand for them. Most collectors I know have a Columbia Q or two in their collection. I have four of them.

I like the way my Sylvia C looks on the fancy base so I think I'll keep it that way. See Attchment
