technique's for touching up Brushed Gold finish ??

Just wondering is any members have experimented with touching up the brushed gold finish on appropriated phonograph hardware??

Some people have used Rub-N-Buff or other metallic wax finishes with some success... It works for touch-ups and then overspray with an art fixative - Krylon or maybe lacquer to keep it from coming off. Michaels or Hobby Lobby carry various versions of this...

Thanks for the tip Curt. Might have to give that a try. I didn't know if any of the brush plating systems worked for something like that..

First order is to determine 24, 18, 14 or 10karat Gold as they are all different.

My guess is 18 karat... from the color tone.
