Which type of escutcheon do you need? The VV-IV was made for many years and went through several mechanical changes included the trim pieces. Jerry

It is for a 1916 model, the metal is so corroded, it is impossible to determine a finish.

All the bright parts on a VV-IV were nickel plated. If you posted a photo of the rusty escutcheon, it would help. You'd probably have good success in the Trader section with a "wanted" thread. Jerry

It isn't that it has a corroded escutcheon, it doesn't have one at all. Is it common for these to go missing after a century?

The distance between the holes is 1 ½ inches, the crank hole is ¾"

I found one in my attic that's 1&⅜" from screw center to screw center. The nickel finish is not good but if you need it, it's better than nothing. If it's a go, send your mailing address and I'll send it to you. Jerry Blais

My search for the part is now over, thanks to the generosity of Mr. Jerry B. and his offer to sell me one.
