It's real. A rare, late machine meant for export. It's in the Frow book.

That's interesting. I don't know how I haven't seen an example of an Amberola 60 before. I should get a copy of the Frow book.

Typical of Edison, several late Amberola models were made up from leftover parts. These were exported to Australia and New Zealand. The most interesting part is the reproducer with such a heavy weight; I'll bet it wore out records fast!

The Amberola 60 and 80 were produced to use up surplus Diamond Disc phonograph cabinets. Examples may exist in the UK, but I have never seen either model.

This is from the collection my branded GEM AND Opera came from (in fact the opera is in the upper left corner of the first photo). He's a collector of 40 years and all of his machines are in pristine condition, and most of them are rare or highly desirable. Bid with confidence, he's a very honest guy.

The Amberola Model 60 is very nice. I was at his place looking at his collection last week. In 2014 there was a Model 60 that sold for $950.00 and a Model 80 that sold for $3500.00. If anyone is interested he also has an Amberola Model 80 serial #1071 that is the same machine as shown in Frow's book on page 336. He also has a SUPER RARE Amberola IV for $10,000.00 (picture attached). There are only four original Amberols IV's known to exist and this is one of them. I can pick up and deliver any of these machines to the Wayne, NJ or Union, Il show for a small fee.

Is this Gene Mano who is selling this machine? In the description it is signed 'Phonocrazy' and another member on the forum mentioned Gene Mano's eBay name is 'phonocrazy' when he was selling a Berliner lever wind on eBay a while back.
