I found a Victor VV-VI this weekend in an antique shop. It appears to be an oak cabinet and it is missing the crank and the reproducer/swivel tube. It seems to be in very good condition (cosmetically anyway) otherwise. I can get it for $70.00, possibly a little less. How hard is it to find the reproducer/swivel tube and what would that cost me for a good, working unit? The crank is easy and not too expensive it seems. Would this be a good price considering the cost of parts to make it whole? Thank you for any help

$70 ! that is so cheap ! Go for it ! especially if you can get it for $50 !

Because this model changed a few times during it's run....without pics of it and the data plate...hard to know which arm & crank, etc...will be needed.
However, it should not be too hard or expensive.

The Victrola VI was made for a long time and went through several variations. There may be a paper label on the underside of the cabinet. That and a photo would help us date the machine. An early VI would take a female crank while the later ones use a male crank. A photo of the tone arm would go a long way towards determining what U-tube you need. You need either an Exhibition or Victrola 2 reproducer. Jerry
