The Talking Machine Forum — For All Antique Phonographs & Recordings

If you are anything like me, you will have a lot of cylinders in boxes without the correct lids and a lot of spare lids with no cylinders ! It annoys me to have the wrong lids on the boxes.............. It just occurred to me that on the forum we could do a swap service - if we all list the cylinders we need lids for and the spare lids we have, surely if enough of us do this there must be some we can swap (or sell for a nominal amount) between us so as to end up with cylinders in the correct box and lid ? Postage would be minimal as we would only be posting cardboard lids.
What do you think - could it work ? Anyone up for it ?

I tried to get a lid exchange started here on the Forum a few years ago but had no luck. I eventually parted with hundreds of spare lids. I do wish you luck with the project. Jerry
