I've signed up for the Wayne, NJ show in April and will be driving down from Boston. What can I expect to see there? How are the prices there?

I think you mean the Wayne NJ show. Union is in Illinois and in June.

Part of the fun of these shows is that you never know what will turn up, and prices - like anywhere else - are variable. You can, however, expect to see the more commonly found machines such as the Victor I-VI series, Edison Gems, Standards, Homes, and Triumphs, Type Q, B, A, AT Graphophones, etc. There's almost always an Opera or two, perhaps a 5" machine (Edison Concert; AG Graphophone, etc.), and all sorts of parts. You're almost certain to find the D reproducer you want for a 1904 model Q. There will be boxes and boxes and crates and crates of disc and cylinder records...

I attended the Wayne show for the first time last Spring and I had a wonderful time. Be sure to attend the parking lot sale which is a day before the actual sale. While in the area, take in all the Edison sites. I bought a great machine and saw others. At the actual sale I was tempted once again and bought several very nice small phono items. We spent several days in the area and every day was terrific. Jerry Blais
