Is this the original reproducer for this machine?

Is this the original reproducer that should be on my Columbia type AT? Or is it supposed to have the earlier style reproducer for example like the one found on the type B Eagle? I could be wrong but the reproducer on the Columbia Eagle is the #2 reproducer right? Thanks in advance

Your AT was originally equipped with an Eagle-type reproducer. However, the "D" shown on the machine is a perfectly acceptable upgrade, and plays better than the original model, due to its larger diaphragm and being a bit heavier. The only reason to replace the "D" with the Eagle-type reproducer would be to show how it was originally equipped.
But if we did that for all our machines, there would be no aftermarket morning glory horns in place, no Bettini Attachments, no Polyphones, no aftermarket repeaters...

The type D reproducer that is in the machine is an original not a reproduction. I bought it from Jean-Paul Agnard and it sounds great!
Someday I would still like to find the reproducer that was originally on this machine but if it's going to cost me lots of money just for a reproducer then I'll leave it alone. The machine plays great and is pretty loud too.

I believe I saw an original one on ebay (the one used on the Eagle) for around $200.00.

Yes I also saw that reproducer on eBay but I don't want to spend $200 more on just one machine. Ive already spent a bunch of money to get the trunnion rebuilt by Jean-Paul Agnard. He also sold me the reproducer that is on this machine for $100 and it is an original. Thanks for all the help!

They are certainly available (the Eagle reproducer), just keep an eye out, you might get lucky and find an inexpensive one that needs rebuilding. I bought one from George Vollema, but the price would exceed your expectations. $100 for your D is a very good deal, J-P Agnard is very reasonable, IMHO. He rebuilt the trunnion/carriage of my AO, and I am very happy with what he charged!
