The VV-50 within a Victor brochure - falls short

This image is from the insert to the Victor Records For Health Exercises set, printed in 1922.
Nice how they are cross marketing the VV-50 with it. At a glance it looks good for what it is.
Now look a bit longer at the VV-50. It's not quite right.

That needle sits several inches beyond the spindle. If the record will turn at all it will not live long and prosper.

Correct! That's the second hardest one. It does not show an inner dimension.
Sorry George, as drawn, it will close. I will just break the machine.
The hardest one has nothing to do with the specs of the VV-50 and will seem minor to most.
Aside from that, there is another technical error.

Aside from any problems with the machine, I just find it freakishly strange to see the whole family standing there in matching underwear staring at a chart as they clench their fists for the next exercise.
On the other hand, this was the era of Émile Coué: "every day in every way, I am getting better and better." They look like true believers.
It looks like the artist got tired along the way. The man is quite detailed and shaded. His wife's image is much less detailed. His daughter is a cartoon and his son a 5c one. Why waste pencil/brush strokes?

There is no back bracket, the upper part of the lid latch is missing and the tonearm extends past the reproducer.

I missed the tone arm support! That's a good one.
The latch is kid of there, it's just not white.
I'l give you half a point about the "extra" bit of tone arm. I believe it is meant to be the soundbox tube. That's part of the non-phono issue.
We are getting to see just how poor this graphics really is.
And now I see another thing. What's holding the lid up? Oh wait, it's the combined power of the families intense concentration!
There is yet another technical error.
