May well be over priced even considering it comes with four needle cups? (They are set in there from some other machine, correct?)
Perhaps, however, some one [local] is interested in the records?

Those needle cups would make sense if a lateral adapter was being used, but not with
that reproducer!
The machine has an anchoring plate for use with a Jones Motrola. Maybe that's still around and part of the deal... Even if that were the case, those records had better be good for that price.

It also had one of those electric motor spring winders on it at one time. I worked on one of those winders once, they are kind of interesting. It was in one of the ugliest Edison's that was made. A long low "period" machine and the winder was probably cheaper than a 4 foot long crank!

It is difficult to be certain without being able to mouse over the image, but I think that one cup contains fibre needles and another a mixture of fibre and steel. That would explain the presence of the glass jar, which probably contained a drying agent for the fibres.
If that is indeed the case, there must have been a conventional soundbox for lateral cut records. Where is it now?

I'm not an Expert on this but maybe the needle
cups are for the used diamonds that get dull after
a few plays. We all know which ones those are...
