Columbia Viva Tonal Portable Model 211A, made in the HMV factory, probably 1950's. Cloth covering is shot, painted metal parts have rust, the chrome tone arm is scratched from the holder. Now for the good points: smooth running motor and a decently designed small horn and internal reflector, reproducer has some pot metal issues but it plays well. Overall sound not at all bad, this could be a good machine to toss in the trunk. Will bring to the Wayne NJ show.

Edisone, if you have a change of heart, please let me know. My brother needs a "new" portable. I'll be at Wayne.
