This past summer I was given a harmony phonograph that is in need of a few parts.
The turntable being one of them, on eBay someone is selling a reproduction table as a Columbia client conversation table to play standard hole records. It clames it will fit both standard and harmony machines, however the hole on the underside of the table appears to be the size for the standard machine, the spindle on my harmony seems to be smaller. Hear is a picture of the spindle on my machine? Does anyone know for sure if the two machines have different size spindles?

I am also looking for the arm(I do have the back bracket), but would be willing to buy the arm and back bracket if someone has one.

I have a Harmony and a Standard X and they don't have the same size spindle. On my Harmony the turntable has slotted cup that fits over the motor spindle. On the standard the cup is tappered to fit the tappered spindle. However, My Harmony is different than yours as my motorboard is open under the turntable.

Does the spindle on your harmony look like mine? In terms of size? Because also on eBay is a harmony turntable with a slotted hole similar to what you described.

I can measure the spindle and the bottom of the turntable cup if that would be helpful. I can't really judge the size of yours from the picture.

It measures ⅜" and is not tapered. Hope this helps. Jan

Thanks a lot, I hate to keep asking questions, but if you could upload a picture of the machine spindle, and the cup on the underside of the turntable, that would really be a big help. If its a Hassle, don't worry about it. The measurement alone is helpful.

Jan, Your Harmony is a Hawthorne & Sheble product, not Columbia. H & S made a family of these front mounts, the Harmony, Busy Bee, and the Aretino. All these turntables fitted in a cup with a slot like a Victor. The spindle on these has a cross pin.
Edisonclone, the spindle on your Harmony ( Columbia product) used a spindle with a brass cone to fit in the conical hole in the turntable. The spindle on yours was modified and the cone was removed. You need a Columbia spindle with the brass cone. I have one of these and I can help you with this and other parts. If you are interested, you can PM me.
