I'm thinking about buying it but how much would it cost for a proper tonearm/reproducer?

Puritan machines usually used a Heinemann arm- they are common and if you don't need one with PURITAN on it they aren't expensive

That decal image is so hilarious. The little Pilgrim girl looks like she doesn't quite know what to make of the strange machine left in her parlor by that man who was traveling in a Tardis.

Sadly, when her neighbors heard it they figured it was some kinda witchcraft & put the poor girl on trial. Mercifully, she escaped to Rhode Island and lived happily ever after...

Nobody nearby bid $10 on it? I think it's a quirky interesting upright and worthy of a restoration effort. Jerry B.

If it were closer, I'd jump on it. I think Puritans have replaced Sonora as my all time favorite off brand. But they always seem to be too far away. I'm guessing they remained a mid-western thing, and never really marketed themselves out to the east coast.

I ended up getting it for $40 through contacting him privately. What I think happened to it was it had been under while for a while as the two sides and back are badly warped at the bottom with big chunks missing. Because of it being under water the grill is also badly warped but I'm working on that right now. The finish is ok but desperately needs a good cleaning and polish but after the veneer repair is done and it's clean/polished with a new tonearm it will be GREAT, I really like the style of the cabinet too. The only problem is I literally can't find ANY info on this model it has a tag labeled Atlantic which is the model name and another tag saying its model 150, if anyone can share some information on this model it would be much appreciated.
