My Small Phonograph Display

Last night I put the finishing touches on my display of small phonographs and phonograph accessories. The Eastlake book case (actually 2 units that fit together) was originally in Senator Henry Cabot Lodge's office and I purchased them from the estate of a family member several years ago. Surprisingly, all of the glass is original, and the drawers are very convenient for storing cylinders as well!

Behind glass is definitely the way to go = less dust to clean!

...and if you're going to do glass book cases, you can't get much better than these.

Stunning!

Wow! Very nice! Thanks for posting those pics!
I see a couple of Western Electric telephones in
there too. Looks like a model 302 and perhaps
a D1 handset mounting. If you ever want to put those
phones in use I can help provide the info to do it.

Less dust is definitely a plus! I am also relieved that I no longer have to worry about guests knocking into the Victor R horn, for some reason that thing is a butt magnet!

Very nice display. I've always had a thing for Whitall & Tatum apothecary bottles. I look for the now obscure ones....Cocaine, Opium, Cannabis, Heroin, etc....Here is a French jar made for the Mexican market circa 1870's.

Nipper looks like he needs a Trade Mark... ;).
