Model C vs Model H Reproducers

A fellow just brought an Edison Model C reproducer into my shop today with a Model H stylus and stylus bar. The stylus is bad and he wants me to replace it with another Model H stylus/stylus bar. He uses it to play his 4 minute cylinders.

Is there any difference between the Model C and Model H reproducer that would prevent this? It seems to fit just fine.

Thanks!

Cliff

AFAIK, the bodies of the C and H are identical, but there are slight differences in the tails, the C usually having 2 holes, whereas the H never does.

Personally, I'd try to find a H tail to put on the reproducer, if for no other reason than to prevent future confusion.
