Anyone know the right record index, manual and key that would have come with this VV-XVI
L door model B?
Thanks, Bob

I have an L-Door C ( restamped over "B" ), license label date August 1909 that, in red mahogany, that came to me with all its original VTLA box folders ( and records !), and it included a gold key with the "V" inside an oval "head".

I believe it is the standard Victor Gold key for that era.

Thanks Frank. I have that key too. I don't know why I thought maybe it originally came with the wreath style. I am not sure when that was used.

Hey Bob,
The wreath style key you are thinking of was used on the L-door VTLA that has the filigree under the lid.

Curt,
You are correct. I meant the other VTLA models as well but didn't finish typing my thoughts.

Ok, so the gold V key is it. Anyone know what the record index and manual look like?

This is the one that came with an L-door machine that I had a long time ago. This came with the style that had the filigree under the lid, but I think it was some time before they changed to the maroon cloth covered index. I don't know why the lettering in silver because Victor wasn't even offering Victrolas with nickel plating when that machine was made. I sure wish I could write with an ink pen as well as the person did that filled this one out!

Mine also came with the simple gold key. I also got some shipping documents that I posted here:
