In the early days there were not many specialist gramophone shops in the UK. Machines and records were often sold by bicycle dealers, as in this picture.

I do not know the location, but the window display contains a wide variety of merchandise and an advertisement for Cinch records which were HMV's cheapest label.

It is my understanding that Bicycles and Gramophones were very complimentary product lines, as bicycles sold in warm weather, and Gramophones had their largest sales during the winter holiday season. Finding a shop that sells both is not that unusual in the USA, and probably not in Britain either.
